We would love to have you share in meditation teachings and the beauty of the Warren Willis Camp and Conference Center near Fruitland Park, Florida.
Centered on a peninsula of Lake Griffin in Lake County, this setting is ideal for calming our mind, reducing our suffering, and gaining in love and wisdom.
This retreat’s theme is “Joyful Living: Finding Our Home in Our Body.” Participants can expect instruction and guided meditations, Q&A, and time for self discovery.
Benefits of attending a retreat:
Beginners are welcome! Through a dedicated meditation practice and retreat experience, you may uncover:
- Greater clarity, wisdom, resiliency, and inner stability
- A spaciousness for your internal experience to simply arise and fall away, creating less reactivity and suffering
- Increased sense of well-being and supportive traits such as compassion, joy, forgiveness, and equanimity
- Yourself as your best friend, no matter what!
In order to help all participants receive these benefits, we ask that all attendees follow our retreat code of conduct. Make sure to read through the code of conduct before registering to ensure you are ready for a healthy and positive experience.
Details on Vipassana meditation, and what to expect:
Meditation is a universal practice that is open and accessible to anyone who is interested, no matter their background. Vipassana meditation is the practice of observing one’s present-moment experience with a friendly and non-judgmental awareness.
We begin by stabilizing the mind through breath awareness. We become more able to identify suffering in the mind and let suffering go. We hope that practitioners understand that at times retreats can be challenging. We also hope that all participants experience joy in their meditative experience!
